The “meditation hearth” at SAMUEL was crafted as an intimate moment within the larger rhythm of the stroll garden. It offers stillness rather than spectacle. This is not a place for gathering, but for grounding. The fire becomes a point of inward focus, a flicker meant for pause and personal presence. Beyond, the garden unfolds in measured steps. Each turn reveals a new vignette: a bench tucked away under dapple light, a still pond that mirrors the trees above, a curved wall that suggests enclosure without confinement. The plantings are restrained yet textural, chosen not for flourish but for form and tone. Greens layer upon greens, offering softness and structure in equal measure.
